*She Shops* Century 21 City Point
Fellow Brooklynites, I have great news: you do not have to leave the borough or shlep over the bridge for the best Century21 store any more! A new branch is about to be opened in Booklyn, featuring all that you love about century 21 and more! Firstly, they have a Mac pop up that is bigger than any Mac brick and mortar store in Brooklyn. This is the only Century21 that has a Mac in store. LXR &Co is on the second floor. They also have Brooklyn Roasting Co. On the third floor if you want to take a coffee break from shopping! The layout is spacious and staff is so friendly and helpful.
Ok, let's do this floor by floor. The first floor is dedicated to makeup and fragrances. This has the look of a department store. Lancôme, Estée Lauder, Clinique, and Smashbox all have their own counter. Mac has its own space right when you come in. Full on makeup tutorials and makeup services are offered. Popular fragrances and gift sets are sold at 30%-70% off retail. I spotted scents from Ferragamo, Chloe, Boss, Guess, Viva La Juicy, and more. Men's fragrances are available as well.
The second floor is dedicated to all things accessories. Handbags, watches, jewelry, cold weather accessories, sunglasses, and bag embellishments are available there. Skagen watches are $69.99 (retails at $125). Favorite purse brands like Zac Posen, Rebecca Minkoff and Kate Spade are sprinkled throughout the more casual brands of Madden Girl, Sol and Selene, and more. Embellished Badgley Mishka clutches are behind glass counter. Handbags from Valentino,Louis Vuitton, Fendi, and Gucci line shelving in the LXR&CO section. Moschino scarves are $89.99 (retails at $225).
The third floor is divided in two. Floor 3.5 is for all you shoeholics out there. Boots are hanging on shelving, and rows upon rows of shoes as far as the eye can see are laid out on this floor. I spotted Calvin Klein oxfords for $49.99 (retails at $119), Tretorn rain boots for $64.99, Ivanka Trump Lace up flats, Vince sneakers for $149.99 (retails for $225) Brian Atwood heels, and Kate Spade flats. Other brands on offer are: Timberland, Uggs, Tommy Hilfiger, French Connection, Via Spiegel, DVF, Anne Klein, Guess, Stuart Wietzman, Michael Kors, Coach, Steve Madden, Vince Camuto, and Betsey Johnson. Sneakers line the back wall. Designer shoes are next to the stairs leading to the sub floor of the third floor. Sophia Webster heels from her coke collection are $219 (retails at $550). Sara Flint, Marc Jacobs, Sergio Rossi ($299-$399), Aquazzura($199-$499), and Isabel Marant ($599) are all represented.
Women's and men's apparel is on this sub level third floor. Samantha Sung dresses are $129 (retails at $650). I was glad to see some of my favorite designers like Theory, Elizabeth and James, and Rebecca Taylor. A theory fur collared cardigan is $319 (retails at $755). Lots of cold weather pieces to transition into fall and winter are here. There is also a section for workout apparel and gear. Coats and dresses are towards the back of the floor.
The last floor has children's wear, shoes, and toys. This is a great hunting grounds for gifts. Luggage, linen, kitchenware, bathroom essentials, hosiery, and intimates can all be found on this floor.
Century 21 will have its soft opening on Friday. The grand opening will take place on Tuesday with a ribbon cutting ceremony, and the first 250 guest will receive gift cards of mystery value.
